Hi. My name is Michael and this is the UA-cam channel where I put videos related to my psychology podcast, The Psych Files. The Psych Files is a free podcast for anyone interested in psychology or just human behavior in general. I don't lecture - I try to have fun showing you how ideas in psychology can be found in everyday life. Some examples: the psychology of extreme sports, why we are superstitious, what is play and music therapy, and how to use mnemonics. Check out the podcast website here: www.thepsychfiles.com. You can also subscribe to The Psych Files in iTunes.

Here's how you can do that with a simple ThingLink branching scenario. Feel free to get in touch if you want to learn more about how to use ThingLink in your classes.
Make Online Classes More Interactive Using ThingLink
Переглядів 322Рік тому
ThingLink is great for creating interactivity in online classes. Thinglink's "Scenario Builder" helps teachers create immersive learning experiences. I demonstrate one example using the topic of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. I also suggest some additional tools that you'll find helpful. This is a very neat way to create a learning experience.

Professor Jeremiah Sullins talked about his work on Productive Confusion. Now he's on to a related topic: what if instead of being motivated by confusion, students who are prone to shame wind up feeling so frustrated that they feel ash...

These comments are so crazy
He is to long winded. Just give me the pneumonic.
Honestly, the majority of my useful 😅mnemonic devices were sexual.
It's true. The sex-themed mnemonics are often the easiest to remember.
Thank you! Mnemonic devices got me through anatomy and physiology at uni. This is really helpful.
This is amazing! Hahaha
1. Trust vs mistrust 2. Autonomy vs shame 3. Initiative vs guilt 4. Industry vs inferiority 5. Identity vs role confusion 6. Intimacy vs isolation 7. Generotivity vs stagnation 8. Intergrity vs despair Words can't begin to describe how entertained I am! Very informative
Excellent! Glad you enjoyed it too.
5 is drive. And if you are bad at driving you DENT the car.
I like it!
Our class came up with another. 4 is a dinosaur that "is inferiROAR. As in the dinosaur roars.
Our class came up with crust for the 1st stage. "Crusty bun" because it rhymes with trust
I like it! Go with it.
Great thanks
This video's over a decade old but you've managed to help me memorize all the parts of the brain four days before my AP test! Thank you so much for making this.
oh my god Tickle-Me-Freud was scarier than the wig
@@AnikIsGreat Yea, it's amazing that these mnemonics work so well. Glad it has been helpful! Thanks for the comment!
how the fuck did i end up here when i searched for EPPP: Sessanta Perfect Circle, Primus, & Puscifer.... dude that concert was music for the gods, beautiful and cerebral
I can imagine his daughter confiding in her friend: "daddy likes to play with my toys..does your dad play with your toys too?" 😂😂
Fantastic!! Thank you very much!!
I Needed this, thanks.
My teacher showed this to me in highschool over 5 years ago and I still can remember at least half of them- came back to re-learn the rest. Thank you for this!!
5 years - wow.
Why cant all teachers be like this?!?!?!
The fact that I was only 6 days old when this video was posted 😑
LOL. Well, now I feel (even) older... :)
I enjoyed this video so much! To combine laughing and learning is an amazing thing! Thank you for the help sir ❤
You can memorise it in more easy way so think about it one years old need to trust his mum, from 2-3 he learn autonomy and shame , from four years old to 6 years old children usually initiative , from 7 to 10 years old this is a different school and all they want to win and play so industry, from 12 to 19 try to figure out what they want to do in life so identity, after 20to40 people in this is a juju to get into relationship they get in marriage so intimacy, from 50 to 60 years old people have experience in life so they are generating and giving. 65 and above this is a grandpa and it does not have a job and chilling and satisfied with his life and telling a story about his life and achievement this is integrity😊
I love this. I am a nurse and I use to scrub in and help operate on the brain. This was the best thing I’ve ever heard. Never could remember what all the different things did . Now I do.
I don’t see the list on the website.
This was so helpful!!!!
Glad to hear it!
Thank you for this. Very helpful for passing my exam.

thank you
wassup
This is the silliest yet most helpful thing I’ve watched in a while
Thank you! All smiles here.
pretty amazing...studying for LMSW..., saw your name pop up in the TDC reviews section where they mentioned using your mnemonics.... this was great.....the more bizarre the better the brain remembers!! I love that you actually went through the process of visually showing it... (i.e. pouring the dust over dinausor, plate with grits and the pear, auto inside the shoe and Shane/Schain inside of it....)....those visuals stuck in my mind as i was testing myself ..... i tested myself immediately after watching the video just once ....and i missed the following: Initiative, Inferiority, and i wrote Role Contemplation vs Role Confusion.... so cool! im def subscribing...do you have ways to then understand the concepts or remember them better!? Havent checked yet, but curious to see if you have mnemonics for other theories! thank you!!
Thanks for your comment and I'm so happy this the mnemonics were useful. They're fun too, right? I do have an ebook where I put together all my mnemonics. I call it Psyc Test Hero. Maybe you'll find this useful. Check it out here: mbritt.gumroad.com/l/PsycTestHero
